Into the Glasshouse: A reflection, conversation and collaboration between Smith students and Lyman Plant House through sculpture and drawing

Over three semesters, students in Susan Montgomery’s Studio Art Foundations and Drawing I classes  observed, drew and sculpted for a couple of weeks each semester in Lyman Plant House. They  worked in collaboration with botanic garden staff learning about plant structure, form and function to inform their work. This exhibit, made possible by a botanic garden curricular enhancement grant, was the result of their investigations, experiments and observations. Learn more.
