Lyman Plant House and Conservatory Reopening September 7!

We are pleased to announce that the Botanic Garden of Smith College's Lyman Plant House and Conservatory will reopen to the public on Tuesday September 7.  See FAQs below. 
Our normal hours of operation will be Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  
Smith College requires that all individuals wear masks indoors.

When will Lyman Plant House and Conservatory reopen to the general public?

Starting September 7th, Lyman Plant House will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. The campus grounds and named gardens are open at this time.

Will masks be required?

Masks are required indoors for all Lyman visitors.

When will weekend hours resume?

We hope to resume weekend hours this fall. Please check our website for the most up to date information.

Where can I park?

Most campus parking spots are reserved for students and staff on weekdays prior to 5pm. Please see the interactive campus map for designated visitor parking locations. Visitors may also park in non-metered parking spots along Elm Street.  See Directions & Parking

Will restrooms be available to campus visitors at that time?

Lyman restrooms will be available to Botanic Garden visitors and campus visitors starting September 7th during regular business hours.

Can I schedule a group visit or guided tour?

We hope to resume scheduling group visits and guided tours, including K-12 class tours, this fall. Please check our website for the most up to date information.

Will the 2021 Fall Mum Show be an in person event?

Yes. The Fall Mum Show will be open to the public November 6-21. Note that this year’s opening lecture will be a virtual event on Wednesday November 10th. For more details about the opening lecture visit garden.smith.edu/events.
