While a student at Smith I had the privilege of working at the botanic garden, both with Arborist John Berryhill and in the Lyman Conservatory. This experience solidified my desire to make my life's work about the study and care of plants. I hope all Smithies past, present and future appreciate the incredible plant facilities and resources available, and take full advantage of them, or at least notice the plant specimens as they run by on their way to classes!
